Ship to Shore PhonoCo. has just announced the release of yet another classic JRPG soundtrack on vinyl. Suikoden is a role-playing video game developed and published by Konami for the PlayStation 1 in 1995. The game is set in a fantasy world based on Chinese mythology, and it follows the story of the son of a great general who must gather an army of 108 stars of destiny in order to overthrow a corrupt empire. Suikoden was known for its large cast of playable characters, its innovative storytelling, and its unique combat system. The game was highly acclaimed upon release and has since gained a cult following among RPG fans, spurring the release of several sequels and spinoffs. The first two games in the Suikoden series are set to be remastered and released for all major consoles and PC in 2023.
The Suikoden Original Video Game Soundtrack will be available for pre-order starting March 28 at 2pm ET over at the Ship to Shore Online Shop. Two variants have been announced so far: a blue marble vinyl variant and an ocean blue variant.
