Are you cleaning up your place and looking to get rid of some old games and/or vinyl records? Are you looking to sell off some old items that you no longer use? We at Newtype Vinyl are now accepting trade-ins and will buy your old items from you! If you’re interested, just follow the steps below and we’ll get in touch with you within a couple of business days.
Instructions
- Send an email to trades@newtypevinyl.com with a list and descriptions of items that you are looking to sell.
- Please be accurate in your descriptions of the items and include completeness (i.e. CIB [Complete-in-box], Missing Manual, Loose Disc, etc.) as well as condition. Inaccuracies in your descriptions can affect the total amount received when your trade-in is processed.
- Include details regarding the condition of your items such as scratches or other damage. Including detailed pictures of your item(s) will be helpful.
Video Games
- NO unofficial reproductions or replicas
- NO non-working games, consoles, or accessories
- Consoles must include all cables and a first-party controller to be considered ‘complete’
- We accept games, consoles, accessories, and video game adjacent items for most consoles and generations.
Vinyl Records
- NO bootlegs
- NO incomplete albums or box sets
- We generally follow these grading criteria for our records:
- Mint (M) – Sealed and never played. Perfect in every way.
- Near Mint (NM) – Looks and plays like a brand new record. Played no more than a handful of times.
- Very Good (VG) – Minor imperfections, but has crisp and clean audio with minimal noise. Sleeve shows minimal wear.
- Good (G) – Visible wear or scratches may be present. Audio may have some distortions and noise. Sleeve shows some wear and tear.
- Poor (P) – Record shows significant damage and/or has major audio issues. Sleeve shows significant damage and wear.
Next Steps
- When we receive your inquiry, we will send you a preliminary non-binding offer within a couple business days.
- If you agree to our offer, we’ll send you instructions to ship your items to our offices.
- It is the full responsibility of the customer to ensure the items are well-packed and arrive safely. Any damage sustained during shipping can affect the final trade-in value.
- We will examine your items for accuracy and completeness according to our preliminary agreement.
- You will be notified of any adjustments and have the opportunity to accept or reject the final offer.
- Accepted offers will be processed within 2-3 business days and we will initiate payment via PayPal, Zelle, Venmo, or other method per your preference.
- If you are not satisfied with the final offer and would like some or all of your items back, we will split the shipping cost with you 50/50.
