The Studio Ghibli 7″ Vinyl Box Set was first released in 2019 and quickly sold out its first pressing. Studio Ghibli has done a few represses since then with each containing a limited edition disc. This recently announced 6th repress will feature an exclusive purple vinyl bonus disc along with the four other 7″ vinyl discs and a Studio Ghibli 45rpm adapter. The discs contain singles from popular Ghibli films such as Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, My Neighbor Totoro, and Lapute Castle in the Sky. These tracks were composed by the legendary Joe Hisaishi and feature vocals from popular Japanese singers such as Narumi Yasuda, Yoko Obata, and Azumi Inoue. If you have not picked up this box set before, now is a great time to get your hands on these classic tracks on wax.
This pressing is scheduled to release July 2024 and is currently available to pre-order over at the Animate web store.
