French label Kana Music announced yet another highly anticipated vinyl release, Nana Best Collection. This LP contains 40 minutes of some of the most iconic tracks from the 2006 anime including many of the series’ opening and ending themes. Two variants will be available: a magenta vinyl Hachi edition and a red vinyl Nana edition. See below for the different cover art and mockups for both variants.
Nana is a beloved anime series based on the manga of the same name by Ai Yazawa. The story revolves around the lives of two young women, both named Nana, who meet by chance on a train to Tokyo and form an unlikely friendship. The first Nana is a tough and independent punk rocker with a troubled past, while the second Nana is a sweet and naive girl with dreams of becoming a successful musician. As their friendship blossoms, they navigate the ups and downs of love, loss, and pursuing their dreams in the fast-paced and often unforgiving city of Tokyo. With a captivating story, complex characters, and a vibrant soundtrack featuring both original music and iconic Japanese rock bands, Nana has become a cult classic and a must-watch for anime fans.
Pre-orders for the Nana Best Collection LP go live December 1, 2022 with orders expecting to ship March 3, 2023.
