French label Kana Music is coming out with yet another highly anticipated release in the Initial D vinyl album. This 2LP album contains many iconic eurobeat hits from the first anime series including opening and ending themes by Japanese band Move.
Initial D is a Japanese anime series based on the manga by Shuichi Shigeno that follows the story of Takumi Fujiwara, a high school student who works part-time delivering tofu for his father’s shop. However, Takumi has a hidden talent: he’s a skilled street racer, able to drift his Toyota AE86 Trueno through the treacherous mountain passes near his home with incredible precision. Initial D has become one of the most influential anime and manga series of all-time, spreading JDM car culture throughout the world.
Pre-orders for the Initial D album open January 17, 2023 with an official release date of February 10, 2023.
